The Original Dual-Studio Concept

Fitness · Balanced

HYLO is a premium, immersive fitness experience with group fitness at its core. Named America's Favorite Mom & Pop Shop by Entrepreneur Magazine and voted Best Studio nine years running in the city where it all began, HYLO offers something beyond the traditional gym.

HY classes are 45 minutes of HIIT-inspired training across four stations: Floor, Bike, Bench, and Rower. LO classes use controlled, beat-based movement to build strength, stability, and mobility in a heated studio.

HYLO is a place to move, connect, and challenge yourself. Conveniently located on Savannah Highway near Avondale and South Windermere, HYLO brings two distinct studio experiences together under one membership, with 250+ five-star Google reviews from our Charleston community. Members can also take advantage of our open gym, giving you the flexibility to get in extra training on your own time.

HOURS

I took a heated mat Pilates class with Issa. Amazing experience with great music and high intensity, but also a really nice facility! I highly recommend it! — Kaliya

I’ve been taking classes 1–2 times a week since November and absolutely love HYLO; the staff and instructors are welcoming, supportive, and knowledgeable. LO CORE is my favorite for its Pilates-based full-body workout, while HY combines cardio and strength, and LO FLO offers a slower, relaxing yoga experience. — Courtney T.

Love this place! Highly recommend! — Missy

This gym is great. HY class instructors are all awesome here. — Ross C.

HYLO Charleston makes you feel like part of a community, with welcoming staff and motivating instructors who make even challenging workouts feel rewarding. I’ve attended both Charleston and Summerville locations, and the positive energy and thoughtful member experience are consistent across HYLO. — Stephanie S.

Good To Know

FAQs

Is HYLO a gym?

Not a traditional gym. That's the point.

HYLO brings two distinct studio experiences under one roof: HIIT-inspired training in HY and heated Pilates, barre & yoga-inspired movement in LO. Every class is coach-led, immersive, and built around the energy of the room.

More structure. More energy. More community. More ways to move.

Is HYLO a yoga studio?

HYLO isn't a dedicated yoga studio, but yoga lives here: FLO, our Vinyasa-inspired class in the heated LO studio, combines fluid movement, mobility, and conditioning with a more athletic approach than a traditional yoga studio — and your membership includes every other class format too.

Is HYLO a Pilates studio?

Pilates is one of the three modalities that define our heated LO studio, alongside barre and yoga. CORE is a Pilates-inspired class focused on deep core activation, stability, and total-body strength, all in a 90° heated room.

If you love Pilates but want more variety, HYLO brings Pilates-, barre-, and yoga-inspired movement together in LO, plus HIIT-inspired training in HY, all under one membership.

Is HYLO good for beginners?

Yes. Every HYLO class is coach-led and designed to meet you where you are. Whether you start in HY or the heated LO studio, you'll be guided through every movement and encouraged to work at your own pace from day one.

What is heated Pilates?

Heated Pilates brings Pilates-inspired movement into the 90° LO studio. PULSE, CORE, and FLO combine controlled, beat-based movement with the immersive experience of heat, helping you build strength, stability, and mobility from the mat up.

What should I expect in my first class?

Arrive about 15 minutes early and our team will show you around the studio. Your coach guides every station and every movement from warm-up to finish. For HY, please bring closed-toe athletic shoes. The LO room is shoeless, so bring a mat for class. Just wear comfortable workout clothes, bring water, and we'll handle the rest.
